2 more B'way shutterings

Lithgow starrer, Pulitzer-winning play closing doors

And then there were five.

William Nicholson's "The Retreat From Moscow" and Nilo Cruz's "Anna in the Tropics" join the growing list of Broadway closings this month.

The Nicholson drama about a troubled marriage puts in its final and 147th regular performance on Feb. 29. It stars John Lithgow, Eileen Atkins and Ben Chaplin. Cruz's play, which won the Pulitzer Prize for drama, shutters Feb. 22 after 113 regular perfs. Jimmy Smits headlines.

Earlier this week, the producers of "Gypsy" and "Never Gonna Dance" announced that their shows would close in February. "Taboo" had previously posted to close Feb. 8.

All five shows are B.O. losers. Combined total loss comes to at least $30 million.

Last week, 15 of the 27 shows on Broadway recorded capacities under 60%. A year ago, only eight out of 28 shows had caps that low.
