Odd Lot Entertainment has acquired Irving Belateche's spec "The Reckoning" to produce and finance, with A Band Apart on board to produce.
Set in New Orleans, "The Reckoning" is a supernatural thriller about a woman who suffers visions from her childhood that foretell her daughter's doom.
Odd Lot principals Deborah Del Prete and Gigi Pritzker ("The Wedding Planner") will produce with A Band Apart's Lawrence Bender as well as Karen Barber. Linda McDonough, who brought the project into Odd Lot, will serve as associate producer.
Belateche wrote "Time Killer" for Lions Gate Entertainment, "Tertament" for Senator Films and Paramount Pictures' adaptation of "The Demolished Man," with Andrew Dominik ("Chopper") attached to direct.
Odd Lot Entertainment is in preproduction on action drama "Hooligans," with Lexi Alexander directing and Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam starring.
