CBS and NARAS are going to extraordinary lengths to ensure Sunday's Grammycast goes off without any Janet Jackson-style shenanigans -- or Ms. Jackson herself.
Eye and the recording academy will announce today a plan to air the Grammys on a video-delayed basis. One insider said the awards would be shown on a five-minute delayed basis, with both video and audio subjected to censoring in the event foul language is used or performers engage in any other controversial behavior.
In addition, Jackson will not appear or perform at the kudocast as scheduled, insiders said. As of this morning, it was expected Justin Timberlake --Jackson's accomplice in Sunday's Super Bowl shocker -- would still show up, though the situation is fluid.
