Walken into 'Wedding'

Thesp joins Faber, Fisher-penned laffer

Christopher Walken has inked to star opposite Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson in New Line Cinema comedy "The Wedding Crashers."

Penned by Steve Faber and Bob Fisher, pic follows two sneaky pals who crash weddings to meet women. Things get complicated, however, when Wilson's character falls hard for a bridesmaid whose family is American royalty -- she's the daughter of the secretary of the treasury (Walken).

Tapestry Films partners Andrew Panay, Peter Abrams and Robert Levy will produce.

Walken most recently toplined the Stratus Pictures release "Around the Bend," with Michael Caine and Josh Lucas. Pic is being released by Warner Independent Pictures.

Walken is repped by ICM.
