Dorfman
Longtime "Jeopardy" writer Steven Dorfman died of cancer in Los Angeles Jan. 4. He was 48.
Dorfman was hired by host Alex Trebek at the show's inception in 1984 and was its longest-term writer. He won six daytime Emmy awards for outstanding riting.
Originally from Michigan, Dorfman moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Wayne State University in Detroit. During his 20 years at "Jeopardy," he wrote over 50,000 questions. At the time of his death, he was developing a variety of television projects.
He is survived by his parents, two sisters and a grandmother.
