Clint Eastwood accepts the BFCA's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Helmers Clint Eastwood and Peter Weir have been tapped for special kudos from the Broadcast Film Critics Assn.
Eastwood will receive the org's lifetime achievement award, and Weir has been selected for the Lexus Passion in Film Award.
Eastwood is nominated for two awards from the broadcast critics this year for his work as helmer and composer of "Mystic River." Both that drama and Weir's "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" are in contention for the org's best picture prize.
Previous winners of the lifetime achievement award include Lauren Bacall and Robert Wise.
The Lexus award was established by the org's board of directors to recognize the "special power, enthusiasm and elegance that characterizes the most passionate work in contemporary filmmaking."
Both prizes will be presented at the Broadcast Film Critics' ninth annual Critics' Choice Awards ceremony Saturday at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Ceremony will be telecast live on cabler E! Entertainment Television.
