Saul Kahan

Saul Kahan, veteran Hollywood publicist, died of heart failure Oct. 30 in Los Angeles. He was 65. After attending Pomona College, UCLA and the U. of Chicago, Kahan became the European correspondent for Cinema magazine. During this time he was also a public information specialist for the Army. Kahan's film career began in Rome in 1965 when he appeared in Joseph E. Levine's "The Tenth Victim."
Kahan then became a unit publicist, working on more than 50 films including "Animal House," "The Blues Brothers," "Blade Runner" and "Into the Night."
He was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science's PR branch.
Kahan is survived by an uncle and a cousin.
