Gary Cole, Jason Bateman

Gary Cole and Jason Bateman have been cast in 20th Century Fox's Untitled Dodgeball Project (aka "Underdogs"), starring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Christine Taylor. Rawson Marshall Thurber wrote and is directing the film, produced by Red Hour Films.

Cole will portray the play-by-play announcer of the World Dodgeball Championships, Bateman his dimwitted sidekick.

Cole, who is appearing on "The West Wing," will next be seen onscreen in DreamWorks' "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton." Bateman's new series "Arrested Development" preemed Nov. 2 on Fox. He will next be seen in "Starsky & Hutch."
