NEW YORK -- Focus Features will handle foreign sales for Zhang Yimou's latest martial arts actioner, "House of Flying Daggers."

Now in production, pic is the story of a soldier named Jin, who disguises himself as a protector of a revolutionary, Mei. During their travels, the two engage in heroic battles and fall in love.

Arrangement, which excludes U.K. territory, reunites pic's producer Bill Kong, director Zhang and co-star Zhang ZiYi ("Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon") with Focus.

"Focus and its overseas distributors pride themselves on our long-term relationships," studio co-prexy David Linde said. "We are thrilled to be working again with Zhang Yimou, Zhang Ziyi and Bill Kong."

International sales will begin next month at MIFED.

"Flying Daggers" will be Zhang's first pic since his blockbuster epic, "Hero." Latter, also handled by Focus, has grossed over $100 million overseas. In the U.S. it is forthcoming from Miramax.

Focus releases include "Lost in Translation," "Sylvia" and upcoming "21 Grams."
