Matt Roe, screenwriter-producer-thesp, died Oct. 9 in Los Angeles of multiple myeloma. He was 51.

Roe appeared in films including "Naked Gun 33 1/3," "Child's Play 2" and "Puppet Master." On TV, he guested on shows including "Judging Amy," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Who's the Boss," "L.A. Law," "Hill Street Blues" and "Murder She Wrote."

He founded film production company Clear Concepts, based in Denver, Houston and later Mexico, where he first began directing. After selling the company, he returned to L.A. to produce and direct commercials. Roe wrote several screenplays including "Irresistible Impulse" and "Tainted Love" for Everest Pictures, and "The Minion," which starred Dolph Lundgren.

He is survived by a daughter, a son, his parents, a brother and three sisters.

There will be a memorial at All Saints Church in Pasadena Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to the Lili Clare Foundation, 1871 9th St., Santa Monica, CA 90404.
