Shine's fine as Fox News VP

Veep responsible for news programming prod'n

NEW YORK -- Still retaining his title as Fox News Channel network exec producer, Bill Shine on Wednesday was promoted to veep for production.

Fox News chairman-CEO Roger Ailes said Shine would be responsible for all news programming production on the net.

"As we move ahead, this news channel is constantly moving and constantly growing," Shine said. "I will have more responsibilities in making sure that things go well and that the ratings stay high."

As network exec producer since 2000, Shine has been responsible for all primetime programming and news production. He also was exec producer of "The Pulse," an investigative newsmag produced by Fox News for the Fox Broadcasting Network.

Shine has been with Fox News since it launched in 1996, first working as producer of "Hannity & Colmes."
