Film org adopts TV

World Brief

The National Cinema Agency (Ancine) will expand to cover TV and be renamed the National Audiovisual Agency (Ancinav).

Org will be overseen by the Ministry of Culture -- a sign of trust in Culture Minister Gilberto Gil, one of the country's best-known musicians.

The changes suggest that President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva wants to encourage TV companies to get more involved in local film production.
