Muslims nix 'Idols'

World Brief

South Africa's Muslim Judicial Council banned Muslims from watching reality TV talent show "Idols," citing the "nakedness and indecent exposure" of the participants.

Tuesday's ruling affects Muslims in the Western Cape province and comes after two young Muslims from Cape Town, Nazneen Leeman and Wafeeq Saffodien, were voted off the show on Monday.

Paycaster M-Net is running its second South African version of the format.
