In a TV take on "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner," Carroll will play the mother of Dr. Milo Morton (Richard Biggs), the love interest of Dr. Andy Campbell (Patricia Richardson). Episode will air Nov. 2.
Thesp's most recent credits include the feature "Eve's Bayou," Showtime's "Soul Food" and ABC's "The Court."
Carroll starred in the late '60s sitcom "Julia," the first series to topline an African-American woman, and the sudser "Dynasty."
