Baxter lured to Sony

Burbank loses exec to Japanese

LONDON -- Sony Pictures Television Intl. has poached Warner Bros.' Stuart Baxter, who will become senior VP, European distribution.

Baxter, who was VP of business development at Warner Bros. Intl. Television Distribution, replaces Keith LeGoy, who was promoted to managing director, Latin America, for SPTI in May and has since relocated to Miami. Based in London, he will report to John McMahon, senior exec VP and managing director, Europe.

Baxter will manage Sony's sales across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and be responsible for developing and implementing new strategic sales initiatives in the region. He will also work closely with senior Sony execs at international networks and local production.

"Stuart is recognized across the industry for creating strategic initiatives and international alliances that drive new business opportunities," said McMahon.
