Pix unspool at Films Division of India

Shorts, features offered in Real, Windows Media format

The Films Division of India has started Web casting films via its Web page. There are hundreds of films in Real and Windows Media format, most about 15 minutes long but a few feature length as well.

I watched several and really enjoyed "Forts and The Man," a historical parable, and "A Race with Death," an animated short that aims to encourage safety at unmarked train crossings. The films I saw were in English.

From the home page, click on "SEARCH," not "ARCHIVES." The interfaces are similar, but only the search link brings you to the streaming video. And be sure to mute the site's background music by clicking on the speaker icon at top right.
