Saban fills out exec team

De Posch tapped ProSiebenSat.1 chief operating officer

By ED MEZA

BERLIN -- Guillaume de Posch, former deputy general manager of Gallic pay TV company TPS, was officially named chief operating officer of Haim Saban's ProSiebenSat.1 today.

Move, which had been expected, is Saban's first major change to the Munich-based broadcasting group and comes a day after ProSiebenSat.1 chief exec Urs Rohner received a two-year extension to his contract.

De Posch, who assumes a newly created position on the board of Germany's largest TV group, will be in charge of daily operations of ProSiebenSat1 and report directly to Rohner.

"We're delighted that in Guillaume de Posch, the ProSiebenSat.1 group has been able to recruit a television expert with international management experience," said Rohner. "Over the next few years our company will benefit from his extensive knowledge of the European programming business and digital television."

Before moving to TPS in 1997, de Posch was in charge of TV operations in French-speaking countries at Compagnie Luxembourgeoise Telediffusion (now RTL Group).
