Andrews tops Cinecitta in London

Exec will work with L.A.-based Wetherell

HOLLYWOOD -- Joshua Andrews has been appointed to head the Cinecitta Studios base in London to help raise the profile of the Rome studios.

Andrews will work with Peter Wetherell, who heads Cinecitta's L.A. offices, and New York-based Debbie Brenner to track suitable productions for the studios.

Andrews will also access U.K. film financing for productions that involve Cinecitta, working closely with the new head of Rome-based Cinecitta Financial Consulting Christian Solomon.

"With the appointment of Joshua Andrews, we have added great strength to the team we have created to raise the profile of Cinecitta round the world," said Carole Andre-Smith, Cinecitta Studios director of international marketing.

"Together with the recent establishment of Cinecitta Financial Consulting to help lower production costs and streamline the film-making process, we are even better placed to attract important international film productions to the studios and further promote Cinecitta's tremendous opportunities for musicvideos, commercials and still photography."

Andrews worked with Icon Entertainment Intl. selling film and TV projects and was most recently head of production at Odyssey Entertainment.
