Italo soccer kicks in for Rupe
Clubs bow channel to beam games Sky Italia won't
The two sides are still thrashing out final details of the service plus costs, and a deal is expected in the next few days.
Gioco Calcio was created last April by Italian soccer clubs interested in launching their own pay TV channels to beam the games that Sky Italia will not show.
Most of the popular first and second division clubs have contracts with Sky Italia, which was launched earlier this year after the merger of the territory's two struggling pay TV operators, Telepiu and Stream.
Other clubs created a joint venture in April, dubbed Plus Media Trading, which is the main shareholder of Gioco Calcio. Other shareholders include financial fund Mercatus and Italy's soccer league.
