Irish fest toasts TV, film talent

Deadline for submissions to the first Irish Film & Television Awards, celebrating Irish talent working worldwide, is Aug. 29.

Nominees will be announced Sept. 30, and the ceremony will be held Nov. 1 in Dublin, with a telecast skedded for Irish TV Nov. 2.

The 29 awards will be judged by an international and Irish jury, overseen by an executive committee topped by producer Morgan O'Sullivan and including thesp Colin Farrell. There will also be audience awards. Event is organized by the Irish Film & Television Network.
