714 vibe in full effect at preem

Peter Gallagher, one of the stars of Fox's 'The O.C.', celebrates the show's premiere in Santa Monica. |
Sudser, a sort of "90210 South" chronicling the lives of Orange County's young and the pierced, is a key part of Fox's move to year-round programming.
With O.C. bands such as No Doubt, Blink 182 and Good Charlotte blasting in the background, and jumbo-size navel oranges floating in the pools, the 714 vibe was in full effect.
Creator/exec producer Josh Schwartz felt the love from Fox toppers Sandy Grushow and Gail Berman, while Warner Bros. TV prexy Peter Roth gave mad props (and big hugs) to all. "O.C." helmer Doug Liman and his Hypnotic partner Dave Bartis mingled with their fellow "O.C." exec producer McG, the latter a native of the real-life O.C.
Series stars such as Peter Gallagher, Mischa Barton and Adam Brody, were naturally in demand, though party vets Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie -- whose Fox reality skein "The Simple Life" bows this fall -- stole a bit of the spotlight. O.C. fave Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray also stopped by.
The final treat for attendees came at the end of the bash, when they picked up their cars from the valet. Waiting in the passenger seat was a Dooney & Burke handbag (estimated retail value: a lot.)
