Clarence 'Skip' Scarborough
Grammy-winning R&B and soul songwriter
Scarborough, also an arranger, producer and keyboardist, earned a 1988 Grammy with Randy Holland for penning Anita Baker's R&B song "Giving You the Best That I Got."
Born in Baton Rouge, La., and raised in Los Angeles, Scarborough studied at L.A. City College and UCLA before pursuing a music career.
Other popular songs include LTD's "Love Ballad"; "Don't Ask My Neighbor" by the Emotions; "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers; and "Can't Hide Love" and "Love's Holiday" by Earth, Wind & Fire.
