WCBS-TV joins with newspaper

Station to move bureau, studio to Journal News HQ

WCBS-TV New York and the White Plains-based Journal News have entered into a partnership that will include news sharing and cross-promotion.

Agreement covers Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties in suburban New York.

WCBS will relocate its Westchester bureau and studio to the Journal News' offices in White Plains.

The TV station also has bureau offices in New Jersey and on Long Island.

WCBS reporters Jennifer Jordan and Tony Aiello will collaborate with the Journal News staff on breaking stories.

In addition, Adam Shapiro has been named Westchester bureau chief for the station.

He has been a producer for WCBS since November.
