Carsey-Werner ups Gerson to biz chief
Exec to handle development deals, rights acquisitions
Gerson heads up the business affairs department at C-W-M, handling all talent and development deals, license agreements with the networks, rights acquisitions and co-productions. Exec reports to C-W-M co-prexys and chief operating officers Dirk van de Bunt and Robert Dubelko.
"The deals Rochelle makes for us go a long way in keeping C-W-M a successful independent," van de Bunt said. "She is a skilled negotiator, and she actively shares her talents by mentoring and training others in the company."
Gerson most recently served as senior VP of business affairs at the production company. She joined C-W-M in 1994 as director of business affairs. Before that, Gerson worked as director of business affairs at Disney Television. Her resume also includes a stint as an attorney at NBC.
