Goode gets Moore for Alcon

Actor joins European road trip pic

Newcomer Matthew Goode will co-star as the love interest of Mandy Moore in an untitled Alcon Entertainment project. Pic began production earlier this month in London.

Moore portrays the 18-year-old daughter of a U.S. president (Mark Harmon). Desperate to experience "normal" life, she escapes her Secret Service entourage and embarks on a European road trip. Pic will also shoot in Venice, Prague and Berlin.

Andy Cadiff directs the film from a script by first-time screenwriters Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman, rewritten by Randi Singer ("Mrs. Doubtfire").

Producing is David Parfitt ("Shakespeare in Love") with Alcon principals Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson. Wayne Rice ("Dude, Where's My Car?") exec produces, with Alcon VP of production Kira Davis and VP of development Steven Wegner as co-producers.
