Telemundo to bow mini
'Teens' series takes a look at high schooler issues
Concept was presented at last year's upfront, and the show had been expected to launch in January.
The 25-episode series will air weeknights at 8 p.m. for a five-week run.
"Los Teens" was filmed almost entirely on location at a high school in the U.S. Featuring a cast of six teenagers, show looks at the issues in their lives in school and at home such as teenage pregnancy, AIDS, drug use and divorced parents.
At the end of selected episodes, Telemundo will announce a hotline for viewers with similar problems.
"Los Teens" is part of Telemundo's effort to punch up original production. Earlier this month, prexy-CEO James McNamara announced the network will invest some $100 million from May through year-end in original programming.
