BBC plays with 'Sisters'

Web brings London's best theater to TV

LONDON -- Pubcaster digital channel BBC4 will film the critically acclaimed West End production of Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters," starring Kristin Scott Thomas, in a continuing bid to bring the best of London's theater to the small screen.

The BBC's cultural web is also lining up "Home," a new adaptation of James Graham Ballard's chilling short story "The Enormous Space," starring Anthony Sher, for broadcast later this year.

Channel recently televised "On an Average Day," starring Woody Harrelson and Kyle MacLachlan, and "A Day in the Life of Joe Egg," starring comedian and thesp Eddie Izzard.
