Alison Logan Lorimore

Alison Logan Lorimore, singer and actress from a showbiz family and who was married to producer Alec Lorimore, died suddenly Saturday, April 26 at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. She was 45.

Sarasota, Fla., native moved to California after a career singing and acting in opera and musical comedy both in the U.S. and abroad. Her grandfather was writer Irving Vendig, a creator and scribe of television's "The Edge of Night," writer of "Search for Tomorrow" and radio's "Perry Mason," among many other titles. Her mother, Laurie V. Logan, has had a long acting career in theater, television and film. Her husband is with MacGillivray Freeman Films in Laguna Beach.

Active with the Waldorf School of Orange County, she served on its Advisory Board, Teachers Search Committee, Tuition Adjustment Committee and in many other capacities at the school.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three young sons, her mother, twp brothers and others.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday May 4 at the Waldorf School of Orange County, 2350 Canyon Road, Costa Mesa, CA 92627. Family suggests donations be made to the Waldorf School of Orange County Capital Campaign Fund.
