"View From the Top" helmer Bruno Barreto's next project will be "Palmeiras, um caso de amor," a Portuguese-lingo romantic comedy based on Mario Prata's bestseller.
LC Barreto and Geracao Conteudo will produce the pic, about a soccer fan who falls for a woman who supports a rival team, It's due to be lensed by the end of this year and released in 2004. "Columbia has the first option for the Brazilian and foreign distribution rights," Paula Barreto, the pic's executive producer, told
