Aguilera gets her game on for NBA

Songstress' 'Fighter' tune to be used in no-cash deal

Christina Aguilera has signed with the National Basketball Assn. to serve as star performer in the promotional spot that will run throughout the NBA Playoffs from April through mid-June.

The spot will center on Aguilera's hit single "Fighter," from her latest album "Stripped." Edited in to the performance, which she filmed specially for the NBA earlier this month, are clips from NBA action, with customized versions featuring players on the teams that are likely to make the playoffs.

Aguilera doesn't receive any cash from the NBA, but she'll harvest a bumper crop of publicity for her album.

Past performers in the NBA's "Love It Live" spots have included Pink, Santana, Elton John, the Rolling Stones and Michelle Branch, plus retro clips of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.
