Don Howard

Former actor and stage manager Don Howard died Aug. 14 of liver disease in Manhasset, N.Y. He was 47.

Howard performed in many legit productions including a Broadway run of "Alone Together" with Kevin McCarthy and Janice Paige, national tours of "West Side Waltz" with Katharine Hepburn and "Legends" starring Carol Channing and Mary Martin.

He served as a stage manager for an international tour of "West Side Story" and for several tours of "Death Trap."

Howard is survived by his mother, Martha, and a brother, Ken, an actor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Congregational Church of Manhasset Choir Fund.
