EU fund boosts film

World Brief

Slovenia joined the European Union's Media Plus and Media Education Programs on March 6, a major boost to the local film and television industry.

The industry can now apply for support from a fund of €400 million ($422 million) to distribute and promote feature films, train media professionals and complete audiovisual productions up to 2005.
