U.K.'s TV Corp. to rep Shine fare

Murdoch to launch new game show at MIPTV

LONDON -– U.K. indie producer and distribber The Television Corp. has inked a distribution deal with Elisabeth Murdoch's prodco Shine.

Company, which distributes a range of programs internationally including "Robot Wars" and "Star for a Night," has secured international distribution rights outside U.K. and U.S. to Shine's formats, which include a new studio game show and Sky One's "Spend It?" to be launched at MIPTV in Cannes next week.

Commenting on the deal, Shine chief executive Elisabeth Murdoch said, "We have worked with Television Corp. before and believe we share a similar approach to the marketplace and that our product is complimentary to their existing formats. They have forged execellent relationships with international producers and broadcasters and we are looking forward to being a part of their continuing growth and success."
