Ken Jautz, executive VP and general manager of CNN Business News and CNNfn, has been named supervisory board chairman of AOL Time Warner's subsidiary German news channel N-TV.
Jautz, who was managing director of N-TV from 1999 to 2001, replaces N-TV founder Karl-Ulrich Kuhlo. Kuhlo stepped down after selling his minor stake to Germany's RTL Television, which acquired 47% of the channel from publisher Georg von Holtzbrinck last year. AOL Time Warner owns 50%.
N-TV appointed RTL news director Hans Mahr deputy chairman of the supervisory board.
