HOLLYWOOD -- Bob Brassel has been promoted to executive VP of production for Warner Bros. Pictures.
Brassel, formerly senior VP of production, will continue to report to production prexy Jeff Robinov.
Brassel currently is overseeing the development of such WB pics as the high-profile "Superman" franchise, "Constantine," starring Keanu Reeves, "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride" and Oliver Stone's "Alexander the Great."
"Bob has excellent taste and the ability to get things done," Robinov said. "Filmmakers and talent love working with him, and it's great to have Bob on our team."
Brassel joined the studio in 1989 as an assistant to Mark Canton, who was then president of production. Brassel was promoted to VP in 1993 and senior VP in 1994. During those years he was involved in such pics as "The Fugitive," "Outbreak," and "Interview With the Vampire." In 1995 he left WB for a production post at DreamWorks, returning to WB Pictures in 2001.
