Gordon, Wachtell to supervise development

Written by BBDO creative director Siegel, "Derailed" is the story of married ad exec Charles Schine, who misses his usual morning train to work, a move that causes his life to take a drastic turn for the worse.
Miramax co-president of production Meryl Poster made the buy, and exec veep Jon Gordon and veep Jennifer Wachtell will supervise development. Miramax's business affairs exec Steve Hutensky brokered the deal with Siegel's Gotham agent, Richard Pine. Pine recently became a producer on Paramount's adaptation of the novel "Sleeping with Schubert," which di Bonaventura is also producing.
