A pair of Oscar contenders, Paul Simon and Philip Glass, will be the guest performers Thursday at a benefit for the not-for-profit Children's Health Fund, to be held at the Hilton New York in Gotham.
Children's Health Fund was created 16 years ago by Simon and pediatrician/child advocate Irwin Redlener. The org provides free health care to homeless and disadvantaged children in 15 cities, including Los Angeles and New York.
Simon is Oscar-nominated for his song "Father and Daughter" from "The Wild Thornberrys Movie"; Glass is nominated for his score for "The Hours."
