Robin Wright Penn and legit thesp Dallas Roberts will join Colin Farrell in "A Home at the End of the World," the adaptation of the novel by "The Hours" author Michael Cunningham.
Tony-nominated helmer Michael Mayer ("Thoroughly Modern Millie") is directing.
The film's being produced by Tom Hulce, Killer Films partners Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler, and Hart Sharp partners John Hart and Jeff Sharp.
Stage to screen
The enlistment of Roberts and Cunningham signals yet another example of Hollywood tapping Broadway talent. Roberts is making his screen debut after being nominated for a Drama Desk Award in "True Love," and starring alongside Edward Norton and Catherine Keener in "Burn This."
He and Farrell play best friends who become involved in an emotional love triangle with a woman (Wright Penn) they meet in New York..
Story was the first novel by Cunningham, who won the Pulitzer Prize for "The Hours." Shooting begins April 7 in Toronto.
Roberts is repped by Artists Independent Network and Endeavor, Wright Penn by CAA.
