Fox has won its eighth straight Tuesday in adults 18-49 behind the combo of "American Idol" and "24," according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen. Meanwhile, ABC's multi-night "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" showed signs of life as it approached the halfway point of its run.
"American Idol" again dominated the night's opening hour (9.7/25 in adults 18-49, 19.9 million viewers overall), and lead-out "24" (6.2/15 in adults 18-49, 12.6 million viewers overall) led at 9 in key demos.
At ABC, "I'm A Celebrity" (4.1/10 in adults 18-49, 9.0 million viewers overall) delivered its best numbers since its premiere. Show bowed with a 14 share in the demo, then fell as low as a 7 on Monday before bouncing back to a 10 on Tuesday.
NBC was led by "Frasier" (5.2/12 in adults 18-49, 13.1 million viewers overall), while lead-out "AUSA" (4.1/10 in adults 18-49) did a better job of retaining that aud.
At CBS, both "The Guardian" (projected 3.4/7 in adults 18-49, 14.3 million viewers overall) and "Judging Amy" (projected 4.3/11 in adults 18-49, 14.8 million viewers overall) led their hours in overall audience.
Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: Fox, 8.0/20; ABC, 4.1/10; NBC, 4.0/10; CBS, 3.7/9.
In total viewers: Fox, 16.3 million; CBS, 15.1 million; ABC, 10.1 million; NBC, 10.1 million.
