It's not quite a "Greek" tragedy, but CBS sure has missed a promo boat.
"My Big Fat Greek Life," the Eye web's series adaptation of Nia Vardalos' romantic comedy, isn't likely to find its way to TV critics for review purposes prior to its Monday premiere.
Network claims that it's simply not ready -- turnaround time from deal to production to airdate was tighter than normal -- but it's rare that such a high-profile title isn't press-ready, especially midseason skeins.
Feature version is up for an original screenplay Oscar and has grossed $241 mil domestically -- two reasons why a critic copy no-show comes off as either a bad decision or an unintentional indictment.
