Hard Rock, ABC bet on 'Winner' pilot

Players to bet on which contestants can complete stunts

ABC and Ben Silverman have pacted with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on reality-game pilot "Winner Take All," marking the Vegas resort's first foray into primetime television.

Silverman's Reveille, a joint venture with Universal Television Group, is producing, and "Dog Eat Dog's" Andrew Hoegl and Jonathan Singer are the showrunners.

Pilot will be shot at the Hard Rock, which will play an active role in the show's concept and development.

"Being the ultimate gaming destination in Las Vegas, it makes perfect sense for us to host such a promising new program," Hard Rock Hotel & Casino owner and CEO Peter Morton said.

Show pits pairs of contestants with preexisting relationships who are visiting Sin City -- such as newlyweds, or brothers attending a bachelor party -- in a competish involving stunts. Players will bet on who can complete the tasks and have the chance to win $10,000 to $200,000 in each episode.

Traditional Vegas talent will likely be recruited for stunt bits, to be overseen by stunt guru Matt Kutcher. For example, in a magic stunt, Penn & Teller might be called upon to pitch in, or Siegfried & Roy might lend a hand with animals.

Each episode will be taped over a couple of days, and the show will follow contestants as they deal with the repercussions of their wagering.
