The Costume Designers Guild has tapped veteran designer Rita Riggs as recipient of its career achievement award in TV.
Kudos will be presented March 16 at the org's fifth annual award ceremonies at the Beverly Wilshire.
Riggs' credits include more than 1,000 episodes of a dozen Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin sitcoms, including "All in the Family," "Sanford and Son," "The Jeffersons," "Maude," "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" and "One Day at a Time."
Feature credits include "The Hunted," "Mr. North," "Texasville," "An Officer and a Gentleman" and "The Idolmaker."
She apprenticed with Edith Head on "Psycho," "The Birds" and "Marnie."
