Arclight taps into 'Secret'

Smiley novella adaptation to be released by Manhattan Pictures

HOLLYWOOD -- Arclight Films will rep international rights to Alan Rudolph's "The Secret Lives of Dentists."

Pic, which screened in the premiere section of the Sundance Film Festival, will be released in North America by Manhattan Pictures Intl.

An adaptation of Jane Smiley's novella "The Age of Grief," pic stars Campbell Scott, Denis Leary, Hope Davis and Robin Tunney. Producers are Scott and Holedigger Film's George Van Buskirk.

Film is the story of a dentist and family man whose quiet suburban life is thrown into tumult.

Gary Hamilton's Australia-based Arclight also reps international rights on "Bollywood Queen," which also screened at Sundance.
