Fund disperses coin

World Brief

Government cultural agency Telefilm Canada allocated its C$9 million ($5.77 million) New Media Fund to 21 projects, including five convergence TV projects, in 2002.

Convergence projects are those with tie-ins between production and new media such as wireless, interactive games and Web sites.

The funding recipients are "DeafPlanet.com," from Marble Media, and Xenophile Media's "Enhanced G&G Awards Broadcast" of Ontario; "Hans Hans," from Natural Disguise, and "EcoPrint.ca," from Shoot Films, of Quebec; and, from the Atlantic region, "Parental Guidance.TV," from Collideascope Digital Prods.
