Keaton comes 'Through' with telepic

Lifetime pic based on true story of widowed mother who deals drugs

Diane Keaton will star in and exec produce an original movie for Lifetime Television tentatively titled "Breaking Through," marking Lifetime's latest effort to attract top talent to its pics.

Telepic is based on the true story of a widowed mother of two -- to be portrayed by Keaton -- who starts to deal drugs in a desperate attempt to support her family.

Michael Rooker has been tapped to portray the head of the drug ring.

Keaton's character redeems herself, ultimately, by going undercover for the FBI.. She and her family then must enter the witness protection program.

Stanley L. Brooks' company Once Upon a Time is producing. Brooks, who secured the rights to the project, and ICM-repped Keaton are exec producing along with Bill Robinson.

David Attwood will direct from a script by Wesley Bishop. Scott Anderson is co-exec producer and Kevin Foster is producer.
