Exec to help co. define, reach target audience

Steve Siskind has been promoted to exec VP of media and research at 20th Century Fox.

Move, announced by marketing co-prexys Pamela Levine and Tony Sella, will have Siskind overseeing the studio's theatrical research and media departments.

In a joint statement, Sella and Levine called Siskind "a valuable combination of tremendous media expertise and sharp marketing instincts," adding, "Integrating media and research under his direction is a perfect fit. It allows us to be more strategic in terms of defining our target audiences for a film and how best to reach them."

Siskind said he was "excited by the challenge of making research a more effective tool for targeting our audience" using "new technology and sources of information."

Previously, Siskind was senior VP of media and co-op advertising.
