Hertenstein upped at MGM

21-year accounting vet makes sr. VP

HOLLYWOOD -- MGM exec John Hertenstein has been upped to senior VP, feature estimating, where he will continue to supervise all feature production estimating and accounting.

He will now report to Daniel Taylor, senior exec veepee and CFO, and Jeffrey Coleman, exec VP worldwide feature physical production.

"John has been instrumental in soundly managing our feature estimating operations through the years," said Taylor. "His financial skill and expertise are valued assets from which we will continue to draw as the company capitalizes on further opportunities to become more disciplined in its approach to its film production business."

Hertenstein joined MGM's corporate accounting department in 1981 before transitioning to director, feature estimating in 1992. He was boosted to exec director and later VP. Recent productions under his guidance include "Barbershop" and "Die Another Day."
