Cristaldi classics hit DVD

'Paradiso,' 'Divorce,' 'Seduced' among pix picked

ROME -- Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Italia will release on DVD a slate of restored classics from legendary Italian producer Franco Cristaldi.

Debut release will be Giuseppe Tornatore's 1989 Oscar winner "Cinema Paradiso," followed by Pietro Germi's "Divorce -- Italian Style," with Marcello Mastroianni and Stefania Sandrelli, and "Seduced and Abandoned," also directed by Germi and starring Sandrelli.

The Cristaldi film library is among the most important in Italy, containing a large number of milestone titles in the history of Italian cinema. The distribution agreement with Fox covers the release of 50 titles in the next two years.
