Alphabet, Eye top Monday
Morning Ratings Flash - Rick Kissell
Reliable prelims weren't available for ABC due to the live football game, but "Monday Night Football" (Bears-Rams) and a special "20/20" both performed well. The Alphabet easily led in adults 18-49 from 9:30 to 11.
CBS was led as usual by "Everybody Loves Raymond" (7.1/17 in adults 18-49, 20.4 million viewers overall) and "CSI: Miami" (6.0/15 in adults 18-49, 17 million viewers), although both shows hit season lows. "Raymond" remains the night's most-watched program.
NBC placed a solid third, with "Third Watch" hitting a season high in adults 18-49 (prelim 5.3/12) and moving ahead of CBS rookie laffer "Still Standing" for the first time. Net's "Fear Factor" won the 8 o'clock hour in 18-49 (5.7/14) and other demos.
Fox ran fourth with "Boston Public" (3.6/9 in adults 18-49) and the spec "Funniest Animal Outtakes" (3.2/7).
Preliminary adults 18-49 averages for the night: ABC, 6.2/15; CBS, 5.6/14; NBC, 5.1/12; Fox, 3.4/8.
Preliminary total-viewer averages: CBS, 16.2 million; ABC, 15.7 million; NBC, 12.8 million; Fox, 8.5 million.
