The series is nothing short of an anti-Semitic propaganda treatise. It is inspired by that notorious tract called "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," a bizarre bit of pseudo-history that inspired Hitler in his youth. The basic plot of this dubious miniseries focuses on a secret scheme by Jews to take over the world and it's a clear summons to the Arab world to eliminate the state of Israel.
The U.S. pumps some $2 billion a year in aid to Egypt and Hollywood dispatches a flow of movies and TV shows to that nation, which pretends to be one of the more enlightened centers of the Arab world. But if state-run television in Egypt effectively transforms itself into a primetime propaganda organ, it should hear about it from Hollywood. Loud and clear.
